Baxter Construction was proud to be one of nearly 150 companies to exhibit at this year’s American Institute of Architects (AIA) Iowa Chapter Convention, held at the Iowa Events Center. This two-day event provided our team with a valuable opportunity to network with architects from across the state, exchange ideas, and discuss upcoming projects and trends in the architectural and construction industries.

The 2024 AIA Iowa Expo attracted over 1,200 attendees, making it one of the premier events for professionals involved in the design, architecture, and construction fields. During the event, we had the pleasure of building new relationships, collaborating with industry peers, and gaining insights into the innovative approaches shaping the future of architecture and construction.

In addition to the expo, our team attended the prestigious 2024 Design Awards Celebration, which recognized outstanding projects and contributions within the architectural community. We were thrilled to congratulate Invision Architects and Hawkeye Hotels for receiving the 2024 Community Enhancement Through Historic Vitalization Award for their exceptional work on the historic Hotel Fort Des Moines. This award highlights the power of architectural preservation in enhancing community spaces while preserving history.
