The Jackson Renaissance is a historic property that has long been a part of the fabric of its neighborhood. Built in 1893, the Jackson School closed as a public institution in 1943. The school then became a part of many small businesses throughout the years until being abandoned in 2005. All the while its neighborhood longed for a return of the building’s presence. Now that dream has come true. Baxter Construction Company started the historic renovation in late summer of 2012, completing the project in July of 2013 with a good portion of the building’s units leased before opening!
