Baxter Construction Company has participated in the DMACC CEO Golf Invitational for over 6 years now. This Golf Invitational supports the Des Moines Area Community College Foundation; which assists students in many ways such as scholarships, new instructional equipment, or to jump start new projects around the campus. However, this year’s 2016 Golf Invitational was a little different! There was a challenge at the end of last year’s event that if the DMACC Foundation could reach their $300,000.00 goal (a feat yet to be done) Baxter Construction would DOUBLE our contribution to them. Well, after an amazing day of golf on the beautiful Talons of Tuscany course and right in the middle of the post-round auction Mr. Rob Denson, President of DMACC, jumped up to announce that that foundation had reached their $300,000.00 goal!!!! A roar of applause later Tony Baxter stood up to present our doubled contribution to this amazing group.
Congratulations on reaching your goal DMACC Foundation, we are so proud of your hard work and continued dedication!

October 6th marked an exciting day for Baxter Construction and Rhythm City Casino! The structure has been topped out! As featured in the video below, the Topping Out Ceremonies took place at the Rhythm City Casino jobsite and we are all very honored to be apart of a project such as this. The facility will soon be enclosed and interior work will proceed aggressively through the winter months. Nearly 200 people work daily at the site and we expect that to more than double in the winter months….”get the Rhythm or get out of the way!”

Baxter Construction Company has reached many milestones throughout its 70 years of operation; but October 8th 2014 benchmarked a different scale of growth for the company with the addition of a new office in Des Moines Iowa. Baxter Construction held a Grand Opening ceremony that featured an open house and a ribbon cutting by The Honorable Governor Terry Branstand along with 3 of the 4 generations of the Baxter family; Frank Baxter, Tony Baxter, and Michael Baxter.
